How Do I Get a LISTING on MusicSA?
ARTIST LISTINGS: To help promote our local artists, MusicSA offers FREE artist listings on the site, with space for multiple photos, a biography, sound & video files and contact details. Please note, listings are for SOUTH AUSTRALIAN Bands / Artists only. To sign up for an Artist listing, go to the 'Get Listed ' page in the Artist menu and fill in the online form. Don't forget to read the Terms and Conditions, and Tick 'I Agree' at the bottom of the form. MusicSA will then set up a blank page for you, and send you login details & instructions on how to create your listing. You'll be able to add your own bio, photo, mp3s etc, and make changes/additions whenever you want.
VENUE LISTINGS: Music lovers across the state will appreciate being able to find more information on your venue through a listing on MusicSA, and we can promote you to our visitors in many different ways. Your own page can include photos, contact details, a GIG GUIDE, PA specs, special events news and more. It will help you ORGANISE GIGS too, and is an accessible, fast and easy way for artists to contact you with gig enquiries. As well as your own page, your venue name would appear regularly throughout the MusicSA website in our Weekly Gig Guide, Feature Articles, Artist News and more, all of which drives people to your listing.
Venue listings cost a mere $50 (incl GST) annually. That's less than $1 per week, for exposure to over 30,000 visitors who come to MusicSA every month. To sign up for a Venue listing, go to the 'Get Listed ' page in the Venue menu, read the Terms and Conditions, and fill in the online form. A reply will be sent to your nominated email address with details of payment, an official application form, and info on further advertising options on MusicSA. MusicSA will then set up a blank page for you, and send you login details & instructions on how to create your listing. MusicSA is able to assist with the construction of your page, and you'll be able to make changes/additions whenever you want.

How do I become a FEATURE ARTIST on MusicSA?
MusicSA hosts a prominent Feature section for SA artists on the homepage. This Feature spot includes a large photo, full article, links to individual listing, and exclusive contest giveaways. These features last between 2 - 3 weeks. Feature Artists also appear on MusicSA's myspace page (www.myspace.com/musicsacomau ), as a top friend, and with an exclusive mp3 for the duration of the spot. To be considered for the Feature Artist spot, you must have a significant upcoming event or news (e.g. CD Launch, major Festival spot, label signing, etc), and you must notify MusicSA well in advance. Feature Artist spots fill up quickly, so the sooner MusicSA knows about your interest, the more likely you will secure the spot. You can only be a Feature Artist once on MusicSA, so make sure you only ask for a date when it will help you out the most. Only artists listed on MusicSA will be considered for the Feature spot.
If you are selected to be the Feature Artist, MusicSA will require the following:
- PRESS RELEASE (5 or so paragraphs with CURRENT news & achievements) and a general BIOGRAPHY
- 3 photos that DO NOT already appear on your Artist Listing
- mp3 DOWNLOADABLE file (snippet is ok)
- contribution of the contest prize (minimum 3 CDs, and/or ticket giveaways). Note: one CD will be considered for a Review on MusicSA.
- Scan/photo of your CD cover
- You must join MusicSA's Friends on Myspace, and keep MusicSA in your Top Friends for the duration of the Feature Spot.
**Please do not send the above material unless MusicSA has CONFIRMED your Feature Artist spot.
How do I get my NEWS promoted on MusicSA?
MusicSA is always seeking music news, and welcomes contributions from artists, venues, promoters etc. The News page is generally reserved for industry news & announcements and artist opportunities (e.g. grants, calls for lineups, national contest entry etc), while Artist news is put in our GRAPEVINE . The Events page promotes larger or 'special' shows and festivals, and regular series. For general gig submissions, please see the section on gig promotion on MusicSA. Add MusicSA to your mailing list, and regularly email your news & events. Photos and posters are also welcome, and will improve your chances of getting a Feature Article.
How do I submit my GIGs to MusicSA?
To get your gig information in MusicSA's WEEKLY GIG GUIDE (which is also used by mobile phones through PODMO ), you must send the details to dB Magazine by their required deadlines. The weekly guide is posted on MusicSA every Tuesday. Information on CD LAUNCHES can be sent directly to MusicSA, and we will post it in our special LAUNCHPAD section (which appears on the homepage and Gig Guide page). To be considered for the FEATURE GIGS spot, make sure you email your gig details to MusicSA . A limited number of gigs are chosen by MusicSA every week to appear in this special section, which appears on the homepage and Gig Guide page. Feature Gigs are posted on Tuesdays. You are most welcome to add gig details to MusicSA's Forum, on the Gig Posting section. Anyone can register for free, and you may submit any username/password you prefer. Our Forum Gigs also let you see how many people have 'read' your post. Finally, if you have an Artist Listing on MusicSA, you can post Gigs on your own Artist Listing. This is an excellent way to make sure people keep visiting your page regularly, and allows you to give advance notice of upcoming gigs.
How do I get LOYALTY CARDS?
Listed Artists and contributors to MusicSA can get a FREE Loyalty Card for discounts and offers at premier music outlets. For details on current Loyalty offers, go to our Loyalty page. Listed Artists are eligible to receive Loyalty cards once their page is LIVE on MusicSA. If you have signed up for a listing, but not added content to your page, you cannot yet receive the card.
