Acquiescence Announces Headliner and Full Line Up

A 12 hour, 200 artist, 60 act, 4 stage showcase of Adelaide's biggest names and brightest stars in original music, electronica, performance arts and visual arts; it is one of Adelaide's largest cross artform events and it only happens once every two years.....

Acquiescence:Not Dreaming Creating Inc. announces THE LEVITATORS as surprise headliners of acquiescence 2006, hitting Adelaide on Saturday March 4.

The Event's Artistic Directors are tipping the band to be Australia's next big indie sensation. A conglomeration of the stars of Adelaide's Iconic bands (ASD, Magma, The Beat Smugglers, Kinetic Playground and Loaded Zilla), The Levitators fuse Live Electro/Break beat, Jungle, Funk & Jazz for a new sound and live experience that feels like Frankie Bones' Chicago and late night Havana all rolled into one. The result is that you just can't stand still, or wipe the grin off your face as the beat gets into your bones and the melodies lift your feet off the floor.

Come March 4 the band are headlining an outstanding cast of bands and electronica acts including Sumi, Foreshore, The Borderland, Systembot, Nervous Gerbal and Blow Up Betty. SEE BELOW FOR FULL LINE-UP.

acquiescence:Not Dreaming, Creating is one of Adelaide Fringe's largest events. It is a 12 hour kaleidoscope of artforms, showcasing over 240 artists, over 4 stages. With Adelaide's finest young bands, comics, cabaret, dancers, actors, visual artists and DJs it is an event unlike any other in Adelaide. The Event includes performances from great Adelaide bands and DJs as well as comics such as Stephan Sheehan and Jamie Hill, Live Art from Thom Buchanan and far too many others to list (For a complete lineup please see below). This year the event takes place on March 4 at The Viva Entertainment Complex on Light Square.

acquiescence: Not Dreaming, Creating 2006 will be held at the Viva complex, 9 Light Square, Adelaide on the 4th of March 2006.12 midday till 12 midnight. Tix $15 concession $20 adult (plus booking fee) available through the Viva Booking Office Light Square or at the door.
