Once an act is established in their immediate environment, the next logical step is to build their market in their local region. It is also a great way of testing their music product with people who don't know them. In this unit, you will cover the logistics of putting a local music act on the road.
Each week, a range of prominent music industry practitioners and business operators will work with students to:
- Examine the logistics of organising a regional tour for a band.
- Draw up a short-form booking confirmation.
- Construct an example budget for a three-four day regional tour by a band.
