It's here! The new film featuring the Adelaide music scene, "6 On The St: The Documentary" is ready for screening, this Saturday 29 October at the Mercury Cinema.
Your Take Sessions, who are the creative film team behind the series of the same name, now bring you the full-length documentary based on its featured artists.
They sure do cover a range of genres, and highlight the diversity and talent within the local scene: Vorn Doolette, The Thieves, Bearded Gypsy Band, Spine, Dialect & Despair, The Beards, The Salvadors, Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!, The Shaolin Afronauts, God God Dammit Dammit, Steering By Stars and Auxilla.
Special speakers will discuss a variety of issues affecting the industry, including effective touring, new media, as well as opportunities and barriers faced by bands, promoters and audiences.
Having their say on the scene are Dr. Ianto Ware (Project Manager, Renew Adelaide), Walter Marsh (Presenter, Radio Adelaide) and Alice Fraser (Founder, La Mar Sundays and The Jam Room), along with more representiaves from the Adelaide music community.
You have a choice of 3 screening times, and tickets are only $10+bf for a session:
1st Session | 3.00pm – 4.30pm
2nd session | 5.00pm – 6.30pm
3rd session | 7.00pm – 8.30pm
