MTV Kickstart's Finalists for 2008
MTV's 2008 Kickstart drew 700 entries from around the country, with the top 5 finalists in six cities announced earlier this week.
Final heats in each of the cities (Adelaide, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Perth, Brisbane, Sydney) will be held in August, with the heat winners heading to Sydney on 9th September for the televised 'Kickstart Final' at The Lair.
You can have your say too... Each city's finalist will be posted on the official website and you can vote for your favourite artists until October 10. The MTV Kickstart winner will be announced live online at www.mtv.com.au/kickstart on October 15 @ 8:00pm.
The final winner will also get $15,000 cash, introductions to record label A&R departments, publicity support from MTV Australia and involvement in The MTV Red Carpet Show at the 2008 ARIA Awards broadcast on MTV October 19 @ 7:00pm.

The SA finals heat will be held on Friday August 22nd at Rocket Bar.

Gold Coast: The Gallery Kiss, The Moderns, Elke, Panther DLX. Held: Saturday August 9, Elsewhere, Surfers Paradise.
Perth: The Bloods, Tracksuit, Harlequin League, Emcee Able, Genghis. Held: Friday August 29, Bakery, Northbridge.
Brisbane: Villains of Willhelm, Tragic/ Athletic, Little Scout, Rocketsmiths, The Cairos. Held: Thursday September 4, Troubadour.
Sydney: The Mischief, Tennis, The Wahas, Particles, Chaingang. Held: Friday September 5, Oxford Art Factory, Darlinghurst.
