more live music at duke of york

After the recent announcement of a live acoustic series on Wednesdays (see below), The Duke of York now has Friday night Live upstairs, starting this Friday 23 December. Come along & check it out, with lots of great like minded people in one place for a Christmas drink!

Kicking off the new series is Cherry Grind, who are the Jack Daniels 2011 Band Comp winner, along with local up & comers Grace.

After the major success of acoustic Wednesdays where you get a free pizza with a drink, The Duke has seen the value of live music & extended their wings to accommodate more live bands and acts.

Organisers would like to say a huge thanks to the performers who have generated the crowds, and made the leap for The Duke to embrace more live acts.

More bands are now being consideredemail Karen & Andrew admin@bandtogetherinc.com  if you are keen.

acoustic wednesdays

The Duke of York (Currie St., Adelaide) is spreading its wings into original music on Wednesdays.

Not only that, but every Wednesday night from 5 – 9pm - buy a drink & get a free pizza!

The new acoustic live music series kicks off on Wednesday 7 December, and the month is stocked with a great lineup of local acts.

If you're interested in playing, email Andrew : admin@bandtogetherinc.com

December lineup:

Start of the Series - Wednesday 7 December:
Brenton Manser – Guitar & Stomp Box. From Roots to Rock. Lead singer of Brenton Manser & the Disciples of Zen will entertain with his own twist on the classics and some self penned songs that’ll have you buying his CD.

Dave Bond – Has a plethora of sing along tunes that you can recognise from The Monkees to the Foo Fighters & everything in between. Dave is also a great song writer in his own right.

J-WAH! – Yes, J-WAH! is the lead guitarist of the cult band The Beards, but might forgive you if you don’t have one. The comic in him means that the entertainment value is doubled. Be ready to be enlightened & enjoy the quirk in his work.
