GRANT INFO SESSION
If you're interested in learning more about Arts SA funding for your Contemporary Music project - join Becc Bates for the next information session, where you can have an informal chat about your project and how you might approach putting together an application for funding.
2009 will see some small changes to the way in which Contemporary music projects are funded, and there will be updated application forms and guidelines too.

ARTS SA CONTEMPORARY MUSIC GRANT PROGRAM
August 2008 recipients:
Viv Lewis
$655 in support of 'Explorer', a demo CD
Helen Ellis
$1 000 towards master and manufacture a demo CD
City Riots
$10 000 towards a tour to the USA in 2009.
Former Child Stars
$4 000 towards the marketing and distribution of a new EP.
Folk Federation of South Australia
$4 000 towards a SA folk music compilation CD.
Galleon
$5 000 to promote Foreshore's name change to Galleon and promote the debut album
Laura Hill
$7 000 towards recording, marketing and distribution of an LP.
Daniel Randell
$4 000 in support of attendance at an international conference (MIDEM) and facilitated networking and mentoring sessions (Ireland).
Alain Valodze
$1 320 towards a live recording of original compositions.
Dandelion
$5 000 towards a five track recording by Dandelion.
Bakewell Street
$4 000 towards the production and manufacture of an EP.
Capulet
$5 000 towards Capulet's inaugural EP.

The November Contemporary Music grant round closes on Friday 14th when the doors close at 5.15pm.
This round you can submit applications for:
- Extended Marketing
- Touring within Australia
- International Activity
- Skills and Professional Development.

Contemporary Music Grants Information Sessions
If you or your group is considering making an application to the Contemporary music grant program, we recommend you attend an arts grants information session. These sessions are an opportunity to get practical advice on which program best fits your project and how to prepare an application. If you are considering applying to Arts SA for grants now or in the future then you cannot afford to miss these sessions.
Info sessions are scheduled on the following dates in 2008:
Tuesday 18 March
Tuesday 10 June (Combined with Music Business Workshop: Building International Markets)
Tuesday 9 September
Tuesday 2 December
Times and venue details will be revealed closer to the date, with a call for rsvp’s.
