ENROLLMENTS OPEN FOR NEXT COURSE: MUSIC MARKETING & PROMOTION

 

Enrollments are now open for Music SA's accredited Music Marketing and Promotion program beginning on May 11th.

The course runs:

Tuesdays from 7:00pm to 10:00pm (8 weeks)
COST - $295.00
Last day for enrollment: 3rd May 2010 

The ability to self promote your music can make the difference between playing to a packed house and a lifetime of musical obscurity. Unless you have major label money behind you, the ability to self promote your music is one of the most important skills you can have.

Over 8 weeks this course is designed to arm participants with the knowledge related to the special marketing and promotion techniques of the music industry and to develop the practical skills in marketing music products.

Each Music SA course features prominent guest lecturers, including lawyers, publicists, venue operators, event and band managers – people who make their living from the music business – who are happy to share their skills and experiences to make your learning easier.

The venue for each course is the Boardroom of Music House. This is upstairs behind the popular Fowler’s Live nightspot on the corner of Morphett Street and North Terrace in the city. There is plenty of parking nearby and a number of bus stops right outside the door.

MUSIC SA* RELEASES 2010 TIMETABLE & MUSIC INDUSTRY COURSE INFO

Enrollments are now open for the first courses in a series of Music Business Training programs to be delivered by Music SA in 2010.

The Music SA (formerly Ausmusic SA) Music Business training program comprises nationally accredited, project based and industry recognised Music Business Courses. Each course is designed and delivered by industry professionals to give you the skills to make your mark in the industry.

About Music SA Courses

 

Starting in February, and continuing throughout the year, Music SA is presenting their annual series of short courses designed specifically to teach you the tricks of the trade to give you the edge in the fascinating beast that is the music industry.

Courses offered for 2010 are:

The first course offered for 2010 is MUSIC BUSINESS ESSENTIALS, a short course designed to provide participants with the essentials for running a band – booking gigs and who the key contacts at venues and festivals are, run sheets, venue contracts, invoicing and GST, copyright and royalties. All the courses feature prominent guest lecturers, including lawyers, publicists, venue operators, event and band managers – people who make their living from the music business – who are happy to share their skills and experiences to make your learning easier.

The venue for each course is the Boardroom of Music House. This is upstairs behind the popular Fowler’s Live nightspot on the corner of Morphett Street and North Terrace in the city. Some evenings will also be held at Radio Adelaide, North Tce in the city. There is plenty of parking nearby and a number of bus stops right outside the door.

Should you decide to take your learning further, each 8 week course is nationally accredited through T.A.F.E. to Certificate IV level and form part of the Diploma in Music Business.

So whether you’re a seasoned veteran, or totally new to the game, these courses are sure to have something for you.
