news: carclew's turning 40 but remains young at heart!
Since Carclew opened its doors to youth arts in 1972, the organisation has touched the lives of tens-of-thousands of people: children and young people participating in workshops, events, arts projects, funding and awards programs and skills development programs as well as the artists, teachers, administrators, mentors and parents who have helped make an incredible range of arts experiences possible.
2012 marks 40 years of Carclew creating South Australia's artistic future.
To celebrate Carclew will host a FREE 40th Birthday House Party on the Carclew grounds on Saturday 21 April, 1-6pm.
Guests can expect food stalls, visual arts, art and craft workshops, live art, stage shows, roaming performances, live music from three local bands and lots more!
Former participants in Carclew's contemporary music program Off the Couch, Max Savage and the False Idols, Atlantic Street Band and the Germein Sisters, will provide live entertainment for the afternoon of celebrations!
This will be a day to celebrate Carclew's contribution to youth arts practice in South Australia over the past 40 years. Join them as they acknowledge past achievements and look forward to the future!
