Contemporary Music Fund Grant Recipients May 2008


Arts SA has announced the latest round of grant recipients (from May 2008) of the Contemporary Music Fund.

This funding program supports the development of original contemporary music in South Australia, and the sustainability and diversity of the local contemporary music sector.

The Contemporary Music Fund is open to musicians, bands, composers, directors and songwriters working in the area of contemporary music, including electronic, hip-hop and dance music, rock and country music.

$5,000 for extended marketing and distribution of his country music CD

Redhead
$10,000 toward their North American summer festival tour

Truth Corroded
$12,131 toward their “Upon the Warlords Crawl” Asian tour

$9,100 in support of their national tour to launch their debut album

Mere Theory
$9,000 in support of their national tour to support the release of debut album

Moore Black and the Organic Roots
$4,000 to undertake a tour within Australia
