crossing the bridge to success in the music industry
Louder Than Words is a touring all-ages live music event presented by Music SA with support from Arts SA and Carclew Youth Arts. The project is designed to assist local musicians, music producers, self managed artists, band managers, aspiring band managers, music teachers, and people interested in the music business.
The 2010 program includes a Music Business Skills Workshop and a Live Music Event:
The free workshop will be held between 9.30am – 3.30pm at the redeveloped Murray Bridge Town Hall (Bridge Steet, Murray Bridge) on Tuesday 28 September. Hear about the latest developments affecting the music industry, and learn important tips and tricks direct from our team of experienced Songwriters, Managers, Studio Engineers, Music Directors, Publishers and Publicists. Places are limited and registrations close Wednesday 22 September.
Artists from all genres are also encouraged to apply for a paid performance at the live music event, which will be held at the Edwards Square Soundshell between 2pm – 10pm on Saturday 13 November. Music SA will select six (6) acts to participate in LOUDER THAN WORDS LIVE, which will be headlined by Adelaide based Alternative Country act The Yearlings (day) and Metal act SE BON KI RA (night).

The workshop program includes:
2 x 60 minute PANEL DISCUSSIONS

4 x 45 minute PRACTICAL WORKSHOPS

- Grant writing: tips for success
- The new DIY (distribute it yourself)
Plus, there will be comprehensive handouts for all participants.
