Huckleberry Swedes "Small Cage, Big Land" Tour Aug/Sept2008
After last month’s sell-out Coopers Alive Showcase , and a standout support with The Kill Devil Hills (WA) and Jimmy Stewart (Vic) Huckleberry Swedes are hitting the road for the next few weeks.
The upcoming tour, entitled “Small Cage, Big Land” (...not only because all five Swedes will be stuffed into the one van for 6000km) will start in the Barossa Valley and take in Tamworth, Byron Bay, Canberra, Gympie (for the National Muster), Sydney, Canberra, Cobram, and Melbourne. Along the way, Huckleberry Swedes will be doing shows with Paul Greene, Andrew Morris, Ruby Slippers and Redfish Bluegrass.
This year has seen Huckleberry Swedes playing at festivals from The East Coast Blues and Roots festival in Byron Bay to Tamworth and Apollo Bay, often joined by the great Bill Chambers. Their debut album, soon to be released, has been produced by Midnight Oil’s legendary Jim Moginie.
