919 played its first show in early 2005. Since that time the band has enjoyed a great ride and has strong support from fans around Australia and the world. In the short time its been around. 919 have played at some of the best live music venues around Australia. They have shared the stage with some of the hottest bands in (and out of) town including Grinspoon, Burn The City, Kid Courageous, Special Patrol, and Lee Harding & Bedrock. 919 can best be described as an explosive pop punk/punk rock band with strong melodies wrapped in emotive and sometimes dark lyrics that find their way into your head and never leave. The bands influences include: Alkaline Trio, Rufio, early Greenday, and early Blink 182. Their much awaited debut EP which will be released in 2007 and will be supported by a national tour, so keep watching this space as the boys will most likely be playing somewhere near you very soon.
