A Murder of Crows are a blistering, young five piece, Thrash/Power Metal band hailing from the northern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia originally formed in 2006 consisting of members; Paul Russell(vox), Chris Reynolds(Lead Guitar), Shane Carroll(Guitar), Richard Palmer(Drums) and Sam Robinson (Bass). This tightly bound group of mates that all shared the same passion and drive then began writing and with heavy influences such as Metallica, Pantera and Lamb of God, soon evolved to a style that is both unique and appealing to many different audiences as the music splices old school riffage and feel with the edge and power of modern day Metal. With the passion to write quality music that all members both live and breathe everyday, it was only a matter of time before AMOC found their groove and started producing explosive, dynamic and energetic songs that are destined to make you bang your head and raise your horns in the air. After countless hours of writing and practicing the band perfected their energetic and powerful stage show and in 2008 hit the local gig circuit hard and running, catching the eye of fans and local acts. Since hitting the live scene in ‘08-‘09, AMOC haven’t looked back, having the pleasure of playing some great shows such as ‘Summer Rage Fest’, ‘Scorcher fest’, ‘The War Room’ and many more along side some exceptional acts such as Double Dragon, Truth Corroded, Se Bon Ki Ra, Universum, Skintilla, Eye of the Enemy, Five Star Prison Cell and many other great successful acts. 2010 was the beginning of a real turning point in the band’s career though, releasing their debut EP ‘The Twisted Path’ to a packed crowd at the Crown and Anchor Hotel along side Adelaide heavyweights, Truth Corroded. AMOC recorded their debut release at ‘Against the Grain Studios’ and since its release, have had great feedback from both fans and peers and sparked excitement from the local scene as ‘The Twisted Path’ shows a glimpse of the success that is destined to come in the near future. Since then, AMOC have now gained great amounts of respect and support from the local scene, regularly being sought out to play at Adelaide’s top Metal shows and venues along side some of the best acts in the country.
