Andy Killcross Biography

Andy Killcross

Genre:

You gotta have a gimmick, don’t you? First you spot one gap in the market, then you spot another, and another.. A Flying Doctor who moonlights as a singer-songwriter? Check. A former session drummer with plentiful social skills? Yup. A Pom who doesn’t whinge? Weird but true. A secret lifelong Bon Jovi fan with thorough personal hygiene? Andy Kilcross ably fills all these niches and more. Combining incredible good looks, natural musical genius, easygoing humour and blushing modesty, Andy’s two EPs to date (2003’s Long Way From Home and 2005’s It Ain’t Lounge Music Darlin’) have received great critical acclaim (‘What are you doing in my house? I’m calling the Cops.’ -Colin Hay, ex-Men at Work) (‘Why won’t you stop phoning me? Please stop.’- Delta Goodrem) and his live shows are becoming the stuff of legend. From St. Andrews, Scotland, to Quorn, SA, Andy has had crowds dancing on bars, swapping kilts onstage and once, just once, got a single clap. Though that might have been someone killing a mosquito. Footy Club gigs can go that way if you refuse to buckle to commercial pressure and fill in for the strippers. He’s Andy. You’re you. Let’s get together and have a lot of fun.
