Ben Slip born in the Red Centre, lit his musicial fire in Stock camps around the campfire, playing songs & beats on the billy/coffee tin.
Ben grew up learning to read and write by HF Radio (SCHOOL OF AIR)
He was a bush kid, a Territory kid.

Today with melodies and lyrics, Ben Slip holds the centre in his heart and in his songs, living for the Territory big sky. Drawing from his roots.

Living in this vast beauty and open space, filters through his music today.

Ben’s influences..
U2, Sound Garden,Bruce Springsteen, Prodigy Ramstien, Tool, Metallica, T Rex, and many more great names. He lives to go…  look, listen, learn and submerge himself in Festivals and concerts, and as a drummer and melody lover, Ben heads for the boiler room for Dance, Trance and Beats

While travelling world wide he has been playing and composing his songs with a balance of happening melodies, grunge and home grown lyrics, which venture across life, love, home and world issues

The Red Centre is his love, life, and inspiration
Ben Slip gets air play on local, Territory  and Nation wide Radio

He performs around Alice at bars, cafés and Festivals

In the recording studio Ben with a couple of mates plays the Skins, Guitars, the key’s, vocal’s and co song production

Ø  Alice Recording
The Ben Slip E/p recording was started at his home studio on his Yamaha 4trax then taken to RED DIRT Studios  Alice Springs, working with Engineer, Ross Muir to be didgitaly formatted and further trax added, (THANKS ROSS…)

Ø Sydney Recording
Ben Slip Recorded at SnJ Studios in Sydney working with Engineer Adam Barns to complete the final two songs
Close Your Eyes and Town Hall Square, for the latest Ben Slip E/p. Mastering done at both
 Turtle Rock by Rick O’neal and 301 with Steve Smart.

Ø Backing Trax Live Performances
The trax recorded in the Studio as a live mix Ben then plays with as backing trax for live performances

Ø Amrap Distrbution
The Ben Slip E/p has had distrbution across Australia gaining air play from Moruya Nsw to Hobart Tas through SA, Qld, WA, and back to the NT from Darwin across to Gove and then down to Alice Springs. Nicole’s work at Amrap has helped in spreading Ben Slip across the Country (Thanks Nicole)

Ø Darwin & Alice Springs Festivals

Ben and sound tec, Laura, drove to Darwin in mid August to play the ‘Star Shell’  located in the beautiful green botanic garden’s looking over the Mindil Beach, Darwin City. A fantastic performance with big sound from Andy on the Mixing desk, and precise insync tec work by Laura, also amazing support from Music NT,and the Darwin Festival,  balmy tropical everning air and a fresh crowd, the show was an absolute blast. Ben Slip also played at the Mindil beach Markets getting down on the ground to a great crowd and an awesome tropical Darwin sunset. Go Darwin!!!! (THANKS GUYS)
They then drove back down the track Darwin to Alice in time to play “The Lane” on Saturday, the following day Ben did an exciting late afternoon show on the River side stage in Alice with the support of the Alice Springs Festivial--Craig Mathewson, Music NT-- Scott Large in stage, sound, and preperation, (THANKS CRAIG AND SCOTT)

Ø Local Gigs

Ben Slip back in Alice since the Festivals has been performing at the Lane on Friday and Saturday nights
