The music of BrotherSister is made by Dante and Xavia Nou. Heralding from Adelaide in SA, this sibling duo are just as at home in a suitacase, having lived and worked with performers and musicians all around Australia and the world.
Coming from many generations of family bands and classical musicians, they started playing together at a young age. Only in 2005, when the two were based on separate continents, did the collaboration officially begin. Making a studio of any room with some peace and quiet, they compiled songs by sending files to each other across oceans and cities, layering melodic acoustic instruments over electronic beats, sounds and bleeps.
BrotherSister has been received warmly in both the USA and AUS for a sprinkling of shows but spent 2007 behind locked doors, finishing their second release 'TheWunder Tales'. (wunder refering to a place where a collection of rarities and curiosities are exhibited) Following in the homemade footsteps of their self titled debut mini album, 'The Wunder Tales' was mastered in Nashville and has been dressed up in artwork by Shilo design (NYC). Released in Adelaide first in February the cd is now available at BigStar in Adelaide or directly from the band via pay pal at www.myspace.com/littlebrothersister
