Candice & Nadinne Biography

Candice & Nadinne

Genre:Country, Country Pop, Country Rock

Candice and Nadinne have been compared to mother and daughter duo ‘The Judds’ with their powerful voices and sweet, pure harmonies. The girls have been making music as long as they can remember and have memories of standing in front of family members with any available 'microphone' in hand, usually a hairbrush, singing at the top of their lungs.

Identical twins, they were born in Melbourne VIC. At age 9 Candice and Nadinne moved to Adelaide South Australia and have lived there ever since. This was where their music career blossomed. By the age of 10, Candice and Nadinne had decided what they wanted to do in life, and that was anything to do with music. Singing before they were 5 years old, writing songs by age twelve and performing as a duet in both Primary and High School. Candice and Nadinne were involved in the school choirs from primary school through high school. At sixteen they were performing throughout various venues in Adelaide. At 17, were performing in country South Australia, Victoria and NSW.

‘Deborah Minter’ of Capital News talks about the girls first album in 2004 “CANDICE and NADINNE are eye-catching identical twins from Adelaide. Their sound reminds me most of SUSANNA HOFF (of pop group the BANGLES) but with pure harmonies in the style of VIKA and LINDA BULL. Title track ‘Just Another Day’ and ‘Works For Me’ are exceptional. ‘On Her Own’ was released in Canada and has already received high praise. Sweet ballad ‘Don’t Move’ and poignant Fallen are a soft counter balance to the angst-anthem ‘NOT!’ The girls also boast some fine emerging song writing talents.”

‘LOS ANGELES, California Jesse JJ James of Music Industry Newswire talks up Nadinne and Candice’ ‘Dream of You and Smile’ This is a song that was tracked by new artists Candice and Nadinne, twin sisters who are making news in Australia’s country music scene. The tune was composed by Doug Colosio key board/piano player for the great ‘Merle Haggard’, Greg Colosio, Scott Joss Fiddle Player for ‘ Merle Haggard’, Candice Austin, and Nadinne Riddell. “Candice and Nadinne get tremendous audience response whenever they sing this song,” G says, “and we’re all looking forward to their first tour of America.”
