Colin Darcy AKA Caper was born in Whyalla South Australia on the 6th Feb 1981. Raised by a single mother with one older brother and sister, Capers childhood in Whyalla wasn't a normal one. He grew up poor and less fortunate. Not knowing his father and losing his mother and brother to heart disease made his life hard. In search for a better life he found hope in Hip Hop music from the stories Tupac Shakur and NWA told, especially the stories that Tupac Skakur told. Caper instantly grew an emotional connection to the stories of his favourite artists because he could relate to them with what was going on in his life. After facing many life obstacles and adversity Caper was left scarred with considerable pain. At age 20 Caper found an outlet when he picked up a pen and paper and started writing poetry. Channelling his personal pain into rhymes and songs he found it was the only way he could express what was going on in his mind. It was his therapy. After years of progressing his skills Caper along with 2 other friends formed Hip Hop Trio SHADOWS. After 1 self titled EP and 1 album Caper found great success with SHADOWS on a local level gaining the respect as a real MC with a unique style full of substance knowing to captivate and inspire people. Caper is now recording his debut album for a release date set for 2010.
