Capulet

Share |

Genre:Experimental, Rock

It’s the year 2010. A fresh start for many, and certainly a time for new beginnings for Capulet.

Ending on a high note for the last year by sharing the stage with American pop punk legends Mest, 3OH!3 and also The Secret Handshake, Capulet have emerged into the new year with a new attitude and ready to take the year by storm.

Having received great reviews for the 2009 release of their debut EP ‘We Won’t Let Go’ Capulet are getting ready to clock up the mileage for the first six months of the year with numerous trips interstate being planned.

April will see the first of these trips, taking in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne before returning home for to play for their home crowd. A lot of this year will be spent dedicated to writing a fresh EP set to be recorded at the end of this year.

As a band that has always been energetic and charismatic, Capulet have developed a live show that you cannot afford to miss, and with front man Tim Bartel displaying his extensive vocal ability alongside the song writing capabilities of this band, Capulet have catapulted to a whole new level. Partner Bartel with guitarist Ryan Mitchell, add some energetic bass from Josh Hext and finish it off with heavy hitting Ben Ortmann on drums, you get a tight outfit who gel well together. Not something that you always see work too well these days – but it does with Capulet.

‘We Wont Let Go’ is an EP recorded Electric Sun studios in Sydney in late 2008, which was released on independent label Taperjean Records in mid 2009, home to other Australian emerging artists such as Closure In Moscow, The Mission In Motion and City Escape, Capulet aim to raise the bar and quickly join the ranks of these bands. This year has also seen the release of the band’s first official film clip for the single extracted from the EP – ‘Iron In The Blood’

With an armful of new songs ready to blow your minds, look out for Capulet at a capital city near you.
