Core driven formed early in 2006 when the trio of Adam Rogers, Ben Thompson and Alex Holyhrim auditioned a new bass player by the name of Joel Beauchesne.

There was instant musical chemistry with the new member and before long Joel began contributing ideas and songs to the band.

At this point in time the band had already written the songs "Strength" and "Sea of nothing", and were looking for some input on a third song which would eventually be named "Fate".

After throwing a number of ideas around and jamming on the song a few times, Fate was written and indeed the future fate of the band was clearer than ever.

But, what to call the band?

After throwing a number of ideas around it was decided the name "Core Driven" best reflected the personalities and the attitudes of the band members. Everyone in the band feels a driving force to write and play some awesome music, and to entertain crowds wherever they may be.

Adam's emotive and thought provoking vocals and powerful guitar riffs have been responsible for producing some incredible sounding songs. Drawing his inspirations from classic rock bands such as Metallica, Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains he never ceases to create new and exciting material. His newest creation "Carousel" is sure to blow your mind!!

Ben, who has been playing guitar since being inspired by the Gun's N' Roses lead guitarist Slash, has a mastery of his guitar that is truly extraordinary. Ben shreds through lead riffs like a warm knife through butter. Through a unique combination of technique and tone, he is able to mesmerize and astonish listeners, and cant wait to do so, especially with "Through", a song he wrote one day during a flash of inspiration.

Joel has only been writing songs for a short time but already has come up with some songs which are catchy and fun. His vocals and bass playing complement those of Adam and have made for some great harmonies. Joel is responsible for the lyrics and vocal melodies of Seratonin, The Rain Inside, Coin and Mystique. A very active and enthusiastic player he hopes to entertain crowds as much with his on stage personality as his music.

Alex, or more recently nicknamed "Professor Al" is constantly pushing the boundaries when it comes to his drumming. Always throwing in new patterns and ideas, nothing pleases him more than to provide a blasting rock beat to any song. His punchy playing style will leave everyone wanting more.

Having now written close to 10 songs as a band they are ready to bring their own brand of rock to the people of Adelaide.
