The "Dukes of Jazz" is celebrating its twenty-fifth year as a six-piece band. Formed in 1980, this popular South Australian band has performed around Adelaide's pubs and clubs and at many interstate Jazz Festivals and Australian Jazz Conventions over that period.
The band's style ranges from Dixieland Jazz to Swing and Mainstream, as well as covering Blues, Ballads and Latin. This six-piece outfit features a front line of multi-instrumentalist and one of the best rhythm sections in the business, ensuring a wide variety of sounds and styles. The "Dukes" present top quality jazz in an entertaining fashion, for dancing or listening, playing foot-tapping jazz swinging jazz with a sense of humour thrown in for good measure.
