Ed Da Mia is a hardrock/alternative band with an experimental edge. formed in 2005 when exFLAWD guitarist Damian Smith had some songs he wanted to put on his good old trusty Yamaha 4 track with best friend and exFLAWD drummer Jason Spehr. These songs were 'Left Of Nowhere', 'A Falling Cup','The Path to You' and a few others that made up the first album "In Small Hours" which was released in July 2006 while Jason was in Europe on holiday. Upon his return they set out to record another album with the sessions starting in September 06, and then in Feb 2007 they released the second installment which was "Battled Souls And Borrowed Times". When this album came out Damian was very keen to bring Ed Da Mia into a live setting. He asked exFLAWD bandmate and album mixer Leigh Czerwonka to play bass for the live gigs that they would play and soon Ed Da Mia was playing venues around their local area and getting a great response for the public. Songs from the previous albums plus new ones from rehearsal sessions were being enjoyed by the punters. Ed Da Mia used all of 2007 to demo new material that would be part of their Third Album.

   That Album is "The Division Of Truth - Part I" set to be released on March 27. Containing songs heard at live shows plus a few new unheard songs it is one that has a fuller sound than the previous album. Recorded at Mount Gambier's own BOMB STUDIOS, it has the sound of that always been there but never be fully exposed! It is now!
