Fear In Dakota Biography Fear In Dakota
Genre: Rock
‘..from the very first song the crowd was with them all the way. Fear in Dakota has a brilliant guitar rock sound, with creative bass lines and tasteful drumming. They also have really good songs… that simply have a great feel. What comes across with these guys is their genuine love of what they do, and it shows.’

About Fear in Dakota
Since its inception in 2002, Adelaide five piece guitar band Fear in Dakota has built a solid reputation around South Australia for exceptional song-writing and amazing live performances. Fear in Dakota’s 2003 debut release ‘The Laundry Sessions’ sold out its first pressing and spent seven weeks in 3D Radio’s the top 20+1, reaching No. 6. Their next EP, ‘Full Circles’ (2004) received critical acclaim, with one song being selected by local film-maker Warren Melling as the title track for a Kite Surfing documentary that screened on Foxtel in Nov-Dec 2005.
Their next release, the three-track single ‘To My Knees’ was launched in November 2005, with local label Greasy Pop Records signing the guys up for a distribution deal. To date, To My Knees has sold 300 units, been heard on Triple J, spent 10 months on rotation at Nova 91.9fm, spent four weeks on 3D Radios top 20+1, (reaching the coveted No.1 spot), reached No.54 in 3D Radios Top 100+1 for 2005, has had all three songs included on corporate promotional videos for Dakine International.
Fear in Dakota has played nearly every venue in Adelaide, with regular appearances at The Prince Albert, The Wheatsheaf, The Jade Monkey and Fowlers Live.
Not the types to rest on their laurels, Fear in Dakota have wasted no time in recording their highly anticipated follow up, a six track EP titled Sunshine. Produced once again by wunderkind Simon Giuliani and with another Greasy Pop Records distribution deal under their belt, the boys Sunshine to a capacity crowd at the Jade Monkey in August 06.
