The British Robot's new release is set for Saturday the 3rd of April at the Jade Monkey , supported by The Honey Pies and Chris Lloyd & The London Road Poets.
The British Robots write pop songs, trade instruments on stage, and are all about melodies and harmonies in smallish rooms with green tea.
The band's single, 'Trickster', was featured in the film Coffin Rock, and was also one of the 100 most played songs on local radio for 2009, while track 'Favourite Shade' reached number 1 on the Triple J Unearthed pop chart.
After a whirlwind east-coast tour they spent their time recording (and allegedly spilling cups of tea) in the studio of the continually amazing Matt Hills, and are now set to release their self titled EP.
The humble band are self-professed introverts, but they are able to make big plans, and want to "see and play to the world." Their debut recording is sure to set them on the path. Make plans now for a great show on Saturday the 3rd of April at the Jade Monkey.
