Adelaide based thrash Metallers, A Murder of Crows (AMOC) have kick-started 2011 with full momentum and have much more in the works for the rest of the year. On Jan 8th, AMOC secured the support act for American Heavyweights 'Darkest Hour' and 'Carnifex' with Double Dragon as part of their Australian tour at Fowler's Live, Adelaide and are currently preparing for their own Australian, east coast tour (originally scheduled for Jan-March but has been re-worked for March-May due to the tragic flood crisis in NSW, VIC and QLD earlier this year).
AMOC are also proud to announce that they will be returning to 'Against the Grain Studios' at the end of February to begin pre-production for their upcoming debut full-length album to follow-up on their 2010 debut release 'The Twisted Path' EP. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks in regards to the album name, track listing as well as some studio updates. Paul Russel, (vox) comments "we are all extremely happy with these songs, we've all worked really hard these last few months to produce what we feel is by far our most solid material to date. Musically we have really expanded our sound, in the last twelve months we have been really close to the Double Dragon and Truth Corroded camps and having them in our corner has both challenged and motivated us at the same time."
He continues, "We are determined and more ready than ever to take A Murder Of Crows to another level in 2011. Last year we really put our goals on the table, were able to score a support spot with one of our favourite bands Darkest Hour as well as playing with some of our favourite Australian metal bands - now the plan is to ride the momentum, tour as much as possible and create the best music we can muster that hopefully leaves its impression on metal audiences in Australia and beyond."
Stay tuned and look out for A Murder of Crows, coming to a town near you in 2011. With some more news to be announced in the coming months, 2011 will see this young thrash band assert their rightful place in the Australian Metal scene.
