After packing in the day job and travelling and performing around Australia for 18 months, Courtney had enough inspiration and new material to put together a LP.

Courtney Robb writes simple songs about complex things: love, belonging and freedom. Her honest and thoughtful lyrics can break your heart but quickly mend it again when they are woven with her purposefully delicate guitar and timeless melodies, creating a unique blend of indie-folk. Although Courtney was singing at a young age, she stumbled upon her passion for music much later than most, beginning to play guitar and write songs at the age of 19. With the release of her self titled EP in 2004, Courtney's reputation began to solidify with support from community radio and an steadily increasing following.

Following her first full album release "Unarmed", Courtney set off around the country, guitar in hand. From Western and Central Australia to regional Victoria, Courtney continued to gain fans wherever she set foot. Choosing to immerse herself in the culture of some of the most remote towns in Australia as well as the capital cities, it was a huge source of inspiration for her songwriting and something which she is keen to experience again. Recently Courtney found herself on the bill for Red Desert Live '08 in Broken Hill, performing alongside Australian blues & roots greats Jeff Lang and Blue King Brown as well as rising country music stars The McClymonts.

For now Courtney settles happily back in Adelaide, one of the places where she truly feels at home. With the release of her much anticipated second album “Amid The Noise And The Haste” 2010 is set to be a busy yet exciting year for this unique artist.  The new LP sees Courtney mature in her song writing and with the help of an Arts SA grant and the guidance of Anthony Stewart at Red Brick Music, she has managed to create a wonderfully warm and addictive collection of songs. In 2010, Courtney welcomes Johan Asp (bass guitar) and Paul Malyon (drums) to join her on stage as what will hopefully become a regular addition to her live shows, and plans are afoot for an interstate tour in the coming months.

In the meantime, the CD launch on 12th February at The Promethean will be the first chance to see Courtney perform with her band as well as special guest appearances including Chris Parkinson from The Yearlings & Emily Davis . The new album will be available for purchase at her shows, at selected local retailers as well as through her website, www.courtneyrobb.com . Tickets are selling fast and are available at the door.
