Laura Hill MusicSA Feature Artist 21 April - 8 May 2009
A refreshing breeze blows into Woodstock Winery....
After a long wait Adelaide’s sweet-voiced singer/songwriter Laura Hill is set to release her anticipated debut album. Laura released her sold out 3 track EP in 2007, and now her her debut album “Over My Shoulder” will be launched in the fine surrounds of the Woodstock Winery on Sunday 3rd May.
Nestled in three hectares of natural scrub, this beautiful venue in Mclaren Flat was a perfect choice to compliment Laura’s album launch. The pressure and expectation of artist to perform in the “main stream” music venues in Adelaide is slowly lifting with more and more artists selecting venues that suit their music style and giving their fans an enjoyable and unique experience.
Laura's debut album features her band “The Tuesday Bandits” and was made in conjunction with Sydney based producer Ian Pritchett (Angus and Julia Stone and the Beautiful Girls). It's no secret that her music is causing quite a buzz in the music industry, as she continues to ride a big wave into the hearts and ears of her listeners.
Says Joe Porn Squadron of Leader Music Glue UK, "Laura Hill makes me wish I lived in a sunny warm country so I could sit in the park with a selection of fine wines to choose from and a girlfriend to share them with. Laura is a really talent mixing good song writing with a beautiful voice. I hope she comes to London soon."
In the meantime, SA's regional wine country is happy to host her! So sit back, wine and dine and immerse yourself in the music on this beautiful setting.
Winery Doors open at 2:30 on Sunday 3rd May, with limited tickets available at the door. You can also call Woodstock on 8383 0437 to book. Tickets are $10 or $35 family.
