From it’s inception to extinction, Gracewood will always be its own entity, creator and saviour and stands for so much more than simply a band. To many it is family, a brotherhood and unification under one banner.
Gracewood is at times calm, friendly and peaceful. At other times, tormented and anguished. However, it is always striving to deliver a message that is true and not conceited. Gracewood is a group of musicians with varied sources of inspiration, born out of many different circumstances, but together are unique, honest and driven by one belief.
Music.
Gracewood was established in 2005. Since formation, they have built a hugely eclectic set, released a debut album and fostered a strong and loyal Adelaide fan base.
The five musicians have crafted a distinctive sound that has attracted listeners across many demographics. Playing with maturity beyond their years, they translate their passion for music fluently. This is truly evident at the Gracewood shows. Hence, the guys have also established a reputation as one of SA’s most exciting acts to watch. Their rock/roots style is driven by warm vocals, traditional blues melodies and true ensemble musicianship.
Many of the band’s careers have been pushed to the side as they drive to perform and create music that has been of far greater importance than any other pursuits.
Despite juggling their lives between their art, their busy occupations and their families, Gracewood have been working for a long time to release music that echoes the strengths of positivity and integrity. They believe in the creation of music for enrichment.
