Genre: Rock Kaleidoscope is an Adelaide all-original, female fronted, attitude-laden guitar rock band. The band are back with their sophomore album, bringing together the arts of music and sex in one of the strongest and most anticipated independent albums of 2004. Kaleidoscope first emerged in 1997 with their debut EP The Lemon Tree which gained home town notoriety with MMM Adelaide. The female fronted attitude-laden sound quickly cemented its place in the music scene. Their second EP featured the track System Shutdown which was their first step onto the national stage. Their debut album Deli Girl was released in 2002, with hit radio singles Slot Car Slut, Just Around the Corner, Earthmover, Taking Things Too Far and Mirror blitzing the JJJ playlists while the band proved their live ability on the road. . After performances at Australian Music Week, ambassadorship of Australian Music Day and a number of other high profile appearances around the country, it was back to the studio for twelve months of tracking for the brand new masterpiece Voluptua. The first single from the album Sexuality has already turned heads, becoming the ideal flagship from the album, taking the issue of sexual identity and melding it with a slick pop sensibility and a big guitar riff.
