It’s been a hell of a journey since Melody Feder burst on to the Australian Country Music Scene in 2009. With a string of performance and song writing awards, Melody rapidly won respect from many early adopters in the country music scene. Her 2010 debut EP "Dirt Roads & Diamonds" was released to strong reviews and picked up airplay with the lead track “RSVP” on some of Australia’s top country music radio shows. While this girl next door with cutting edge flair grew up on a diet of Linda Rondstat, Dolly Parton and Kasey Chambers, her palate has broadened with maturity through a love of artists that include Patty Griffin, Brooke Fraser, Alison Kraus and Michelle Branch. After spending the past year touring and promoting “Dirt Roads & Diamonds” Melody is currently writing for her much anticipated debut album expected to be released in 2013. Fans can expect a more mature sound and varied feel to her songs and writing. As a Telstra Road to Discovery GRAND FINALIST in 2012 and armed with an APRA Emily Burrows Award for "Most Promising Emerging Artist" be sure to catch Melody at some of the Festivals through the year.
