From her earliest memories Melody has been performing. Sometimes on a stage sometimes in the backyard at family gatherings. As a seven year old Melody started performing in musicals and amateur theatre productions in lead and support roles. As a ten year old a chance meeting with Kasey Chambers led to Melody playing tambourine with Kasey Chambers and the Dead Ringer Band at the Berri Hotel. Melody entered her first country music talent quest as a twelve year old and was runner up in Australian Ballad section with further successes later including winning the duo section in 2003.
From 2004 till 2009 Melody concentrated on studying and later strarting her successful business planning childrens parties.This year 2009 has been a big year for Melody coming back into the music scene with a vengence winning Country Rock and Bush Ballads sections in the Riverland.
Melody has wide range of influences that can be heard in her voice from Kasey Chambers to Dolly Parton The Dixie Chicks Emmylou Harris and Beccy Cole. A typical performance from Melody includes material such as a ballsy cover of Gretchen Wilsons Here For The Party the heart felt version Kris Kristofersons Sunday Morning Comin Down a soulful rendition Bruce Springsteens Im On Fire or the Australian Country Sound Of Kasey Chambers Southern Kind Of Life. As well as the classics Melody has a few original songs including the infectious country pop of Kinda Cute to the alt country sound of Little Girl.
Melody is currently perfoming with local country rock act Fully Loaded consisting of Daryl Lee on Guitar and Vocals, Kelly Watson Bass and Vocals and Marc Reyers Drums and Vocals.This power packed Country music band provide the perfect combination with Melody.
