the MERRg. current (Oct 2005) line up consists of Michael Colbung, Robert Champion, Russel Pinki, Eddie Peters, and Dwayne Lawrie.
Since moving from the West coast town of Ceduna, "the MERRg" has seen the band make it mark on the Adelaide music scene."theMERRg's" Founding members for the band Michael and Robert before moving to Adelaide were involved in a number of high profile West Coast musical projects.
2006, has shown to be just as busy for the band having played at a number of high profile venues and major events and their schedule does'nt seem to be letting up.
November is showing to be a busy month with the Music OZ awards nomimnation for unsigned bands, MusicSA's "Louder than Words"s northern showcase,the State Indigenous Elders function in Ceduna, the Koonibba F.C. Centenary Gala evening and Nunga Woodstock @ Kaurna Plains Primary school.
Whilst the MERRg’s struggle’s to fit into any one particular genre the bands principal songwriter Robert likes to refer to his music as ‘ballodic’ a mixture of melodic ballad’s.
The bands current line up is very versatile and can be seen at gig’s swapping instruments to suit the ‘needs’ of the song.
the MERRg is working on the graphics for the CD which shouls be launched late November/early December.Watch out for this one.
