Based in the Adelaide Hills ,Mick has been part of the local scene for over 25 years. Having played @ venues ranging from Adelaide's Festival Theatre, Adel. Covention Centre, Ponde, Victor Harbour Blues Festivals as well as Interstate Festivals (Mildura Beer'n'Blues)to intimate "front-bar country pubs, Mick has a wealth of experience & material from which to draw.
Mick has worked with artists ranging from "ANGRY" ANDERSON, ROSS WILSON, the late GRAEME "SHIRLEY" STRACHAN, GLENN SHORROCK & more at the "ROCK OF AGES" Concerts back in the late 80's. More recently Mick successfully auditioned for the role of lead guitarist in the "A.S.O.-ADELAIDE SYMPHONY ORCHESRTA PLAYS PINK FLOYD" concerts, playing 2 sold out shows @ the Festival Theatre (2008 season).Mick's original songs (Releasing 2 C.D'S with his former band BLUESTONE) have made the finals of the national MUSIC OZ Awards (Blues Category) in 2004 & 2005.
Mick has recently (Nov. 2009) released his first solo C.D. titled "THESE OLD SHOES"-Two songs from the C.D.(Murray Waters Keep On Flowing? & Front-Bar Guitar) won commendations at the recent S.C.A.L.A. Festival Of Original Music (FOOM-2009)
Currently Mick is performing a solo acoustic blues set in& around Adelaide,The Hills & Murraylands.As well as performing his original material, current artists such as John Butler Trio, Ben Harper & Pete Murray as well as classics from artists as diverse as Pink Floyd, Hendrix & Robert Johnson all get a unique "stripped back" re-working from Mick- Catch him at a venue near you soon!
