[EX-PATS] Christian Oliver & Mr Goodnight are garnering an impressive resume as one of the hot acts to watch in 2011. Not easily categorised, they concoct a mixture of musical stylings, ranging from Soul, Funk, Pop and RnB with consummate ease. An obvious focus on quality song-writing and technical ability of their chosen instruments separates this act from the rest.
So what kind of music should you expect to hear at a Goodnight show? Well with a 6 piece line up consisting of Christian Oliver - vocals/trombone, Cam Blokland - guitar, Darcy Callus - keys, Dave Duncan - saxophone, Marty Holoubek - bass and Remie de Pree - drums, the influences are wonderfully unique and varied, drawing from the classic soul of Al Green, the hip styling’s of John Legend, the pop licks of Prince and the musicality of Jamiroquai.
Mr Goodnight is constantly playing gigs around town. Clubs, Pubs, Events, you name it we'll be there. Our second EP is set to be released mid-late 2011.
