The Peaves Biography

The Peaves

Genre: Pop/rock, Punk, Rock

Who ever said that school couldnt be productive? Beginning in a school song writing class in late 2004, Gemma, Jesse and Georgie nicknamed themselves The Peaves and finalised their line-up by recruiting Mon and Liam.

Over the past 2 years, The Peaves have developed their own style of pop-punk rock. Their vast range of influences includes bands such as Green Day, Nirvana, Rise Against, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Anti-Flag. However, the mostly female line-up ensures The Peaves have their own unique sound.

Delivering a fun, high-energy show based around their original material and the occasional cover, The Peaves have already shared the staged with some of Adelaide's biggest names. Since recording their first demo at Bonsai studios in late 2005, The Peaves have undergone a slight line up change, with the departure of their violinist, Mon.

The Peaves have big plans for 2007, and are heading back into the studio next month to record 2 new songs for a compilation cd - "Nice Girls Dont Play Rock and Roll".
