Rocketbox is a fresh 3 piece rock band from Adelaide. Influenced by the modern day and past alternative/indie rock, combined with the classic bands of the 60s and 70s, Rocketbox have forged their own take on todays music. Their catchy riffs and deep and meaningful lyrics are sure to grab much attention.
The members of Rocketbox first met through the local Adelaide band scene. Their friendship and similar musical tastes, coupled with several band brake ups, led them to form Rocketbox. Starting out as a two piece band in 2006 (along the lines of the White Stripes and the Black Keys), Rocketbox was well received around Adelaides bars and venues. Several name changes later, and the addition of a bass player, the line up of Rocketbox was finalised in early 2007. With regular gigging in 2007, positive crowd response, and with numerous requests for Rocketbox CDs after the shows, the band entered the studio to record several demo tracks.
In 2008 Rocketbox is planning to produce and release a CD and continue gigging around Adelaide and interstate venues.
