Originally hailing from Whyalla in country South Australia, SHADOWS are a four piece hip hop outfit consisting of Caper, Johnny G, Big D & DJ Mikey who are based in Adelaide and are emerging as a powerful voice in the Australian hip hop scene.

SHADOWS music separates them from other artists to date with their unique and most importantly "real" style of Hip Hop that has already been captivating a new audience.  SHADOWS are a lyrical storey telling brotherhood rapping about not only their own but other peoples experiences of struggle including poverty, racism, domestic violence & losing loved ones in which they have witnessed growing up.

Since forming 3 years ago SHADOWS released their debut self-titled, five-track EP 2 years ago which was produced in Australia then mastered in the UK by Tim Turan of Marilyn Manson, Radiohead, The Ramones, Status Quo, Killing Joke and Slade fame.

The track 'Destiny' from SHADOWS self titled EP has earned shadows a position as featured artists on Adelaide's Nova 919 "Home Brew Section" gaining them air play to a large commercial audience.

SHADOWS recently returned from the UK where they recorded their debut album 'Reflections' with the talented Peter Harrington of Sub Arctic Records in only 3 weeks time. The album features a special guest appearance by well-known UK artist 'Charlie Bird' who recently recorded with the world famous Benny from ABBA.

Before travelling to the UK, SHADOWS made history by becoming the first Indigenous group to be featured as 'Artist of the Week' on Adelaide's popular Radio Station 'Fresh FM' as well as the Triple J unearthed rap of the week.

The independent release of shadows debut album immediately attracted the attention of the highly popular radio station 105.9 Magic FM which airs in Country SA and NSW. As an introduction to shadows first single 'Reflections', Magic FM opened the voting lines to the public, which enabled SHADOWS the opportunity to feature in the stations top 20 tacks of the week.  Since debuting on air, Reflections has achieved high rotation, which has expanded Shadows fan base immensely in the Rural Area.

Since day one as SHADOWS, Adelaide's Multi Award Winning Film Maker 'Shalom Almond Linde' has been beside them filming their every move for a Documentary called 'Word Of Mouth'.  Word Of Mouth follows SHADOWS on there journey through the ups and downs of trying to break into the mainstream music industry as well as providing an insight into their personal lives.  The doco is an emotional and inspirational film that's in its final stages of editing which will shortly be promoted to a number of TV producers with the desire to be aired on National TV in there near future.

SHADOWS have gained a reputation as outstanding 'live performers' as reviewed by the Adelaide Advertiser in 2006 who rated SHADOWS in their top 10 Acts to catch live in SA.  This high energy Hip Hop Outfit have performed at local clubs and events around SA which includes the Ignition Showcase as Part of 2007 Adelaide Fringe Festival, Flinders University O-Ball alongside The Herd and The Beat Smugglers, the Hip Hop Night at Rhino Room, Governor Hindmarsh, Magil Training (Juvenile Detention Centre), Whyalla Spencer Hotel, Murray Bridge's Mobilong Jail, 2008 Scorcherfest as part of the Adelaide Fringe 2008, Nunga Woodstocks and schools to name a few.

SHADOWS are currently working on a new album and are in talks with the famous 'Dogg Pound' from America for a collaboration.
