Skintilla create their own style of power groove metal, that blends dual attacking guitars, a pounding rhythm section with ground shaking power vocals, all coming together to make their live performances both entertaining and unforgettable. The band spent most of 2002 re-evaluating itself and its material, resulting in a major line up change, which has filled in the cracks and strengthened their unity.

As their previous releases, Left for Dead, 1998 and Kranker, 2001, their current release 'Shedding Skin' has received an overwhelming National and International media response, with airplay and positive reviews in numerous magazines and webzines throughout Australia, Europe and North America.

The opening track ‘Trust’ was nominated in the best Heavy Metal Song category at the prestigious 2003 Australian Musicoz song awards and also features on the respected international BW&BK magazines ‘KnuckleTracks’ CD sampler.
