Progressive rock bands in the vein of Soft White Machine only come along so often and when they do they are a giant leap from the rest.

Hailing from Adelaide, Australia these four individuals combine their extraordinary ability with their extensive experience to create this well oiled machine.

Since their conception in late 2005 a series of strong shows, an out of print sampler CD, a compilation appearance and a studio stint that has seen the full length album completed during 2006, it is now the time in 2007 for Soft White Machine.

Having shared the stage with notable acts such as Young & Restless, Realist Few, Mere Theory, Burn The City and Laura, SWM have made their mark with a more than healthy hometown fan base and an ever growing interest for this unique band.

Their recent signing to Australian independent label capitalgames has seen SWM enter Sound House Studios to record what is to be their debut album.

Titled 'The Great Divide' and to be released nationally on March 10th, 2007, the cogs in Soft White Machine have only just begun turning upon this release and the looming positive stage has now been set.

Broken Arrow, the first single taken from The Great Divide, attracted attention by renowned producer Forrester Savell (The Butterfly Effect, Karnivool) and an offer to mix and produce the song was put forward.

This proposal was taken up by and the result will be the public's first taste of Soft White Machine.

Soft White Machine
is not a band to overlook and 'The Great Divide' is guaranteed to set our musical passions on fire.
