Straight to the Ace has recently completed recording their second EP Hold Me Down.  The new five-track release was produced, recorded and mixed by the highly acclaimed Phil McKellar at Standing Wave Studios and mastered by Don Bartley at Benchmark Mastering, Sydney.  Featuring the fresh sounding single Superstars, Hold Me Down is due for national release in September 2007 through Green Distribution.

Throughout 2005/06 Straight To the Ace played a large number of gigs nation-wide, and were selected to play on the COKE LIVE 06 tour with Evermore, End of Fashion and After the Fall. Other supports have included Sarah McLeod, The Vasco Era, and in 2007, the Hoodoo Gurus and Sick Puppies at the Adelaide Desperate and Dateless Ball.  More recently, Straight to the Ace performed at the Clipsal 500 after race concert in Adelaide, alongside Eskimo Joe, You Am I and Spiderbait.

ADELAIDE, the first single from the Straight to the Ace self-titled EP has received national airplay, including over 6 months high rotation on Nova 919. Other tracks, including the harder edged ALONE and the epic ON YOUR FEET have also become huge crowd favourites.
