THE MEMBERS
JAMMO -VOCALS
I’m 16 and have been playing guitar for about 4 years. The other guys don’t let me play on stage because they feel inadequate when I play. OK, not really, but maybe one day I’ll get to do an Eddie Vedder and play the third guitar in the band. Big musical influences for me have been Ben Harper, The Pixies, You Am I and Silverchair. I’ve been in the band for a bit over a year now and it’s been a fun ride so far. I get a huge high from performing in front of a big crowd, we’ve had a few gigs like that, but Handpicked was the biggest show we’ve played. Ambitions? I’m pretty happy to just let it take us where we end up. Just as long as we have fun and chicks dig us. Amen.
STRAT - GUITAR
My name is Strat and I’m 15. I’ve been playing guitar for a few years now but I’ve only played in bands for around 1½ yrs. My influences would have to be Angus and Malcolm Young, Blink 182, Pearl Jam and Kiss because they put on an AWESOME live act. I want to go to the front cover of Rolling Stone and beyond! There’s no point in doing it if you aren’t going to be the best, not when you love it as much as we do.
ZOOMA - BASS GUITAR
My name is James Zunic (Zooma). I play the bass and acoustic guitar. My musical influences would have to be Jack Johnson, Pearl Jam, Blink 182, Xavier Rudd just to name a few. I have been in the band and playing guitar for about 1½ years. I really like playing I the band because it helps me pursue my ambition of being a rock star. I want the band to go to the top!
SAM - DRUMS
I’m Sam Davis, 16 and play the drums. Influences are Travis Barker (he’s sick) and AC/DC especially Angus. I wanna go as far as it goes man, be like a famous rock star. I just love the feeling of being on stage and doing a wicked beat and the crowd going nuts and people crowd surfing. I mean, I’m 16 and we got crowd surfers, I mean I ain’t like a heaps good drummer but who cares, I got crowd surfers!
HARRY - GUITAR
I was the last member to join the band and it was then that Third Best was born. Being 18, I am the oldest and I’m not sure about being the wisest. I’ve been playing guitar for about 5 years now and ever since the first moment I picked it up, I haven’t been able to put it down. The reason for this is one word, Metallica, being my favourite band and my inspiration to be in a band and perform. So when I’m up onstage performing I think what would James and Kirk do and then I just head bang away and riff like a mother f**ker.
