From its inception in an Adelaide western suburb workshop mid-1998, Tuscadero were up for a challenge. The first challenge? Reconstitute the band’s decade old progressive alternative rock history (Wintermind and Happy Patch), meld it with a passion for raw traditional music and turn it into something fresh and new. The second challenge? Describe the end result…it has so many angles, it’s tough to define.

Tuscadero

melds a songwriters craft harking back to the progressive 60’s and 70’s with traditional acoustic guitar, melodic pedal steel and rich earthy vocals in a contemporary style completely it’s own. Tuscadero’s sound is deep and honest, it also has a complexity the musician will appreciate, but the listener will love. You won’t be blinded by ‘bells and whistles’, the delivery’s so smooth, it’s 100% pure creativity. In this age of synthetic syncopation, Tuscadero is fresh and new. No-one could say it's 'indie', it's 'pop', it's 'country', its ‘Acoustica’, its ‘Americana’, it is what it is...and that's the way it should be.
