The ‘Cranka plays host for Black Coral‘s EP launch this Saturday 29 August, as the 3 piece happily show offer their style of ‘dark vivid lyrics with atmospheric guitar, bass driven harmonies, astound rock beats and textured synth.’ You’ll hear their influences (Sonic Youth, Joy Division, Wooden Shjips & others), but this is their own sound and it’s one that works! They’ve been enjoying a good run in the local airplay charts on Three D Radio, and helping them celebrate the new EP are The Dunes and Its A Hoax. The EP ‘Big Nothing’ is out now through Going Steady Music.
