ARPA Orchestra

The ARPA Orchestra started in 1983 and performs up to 10 Concerts each year with programs of light to classical favourites. In 2005, 2008 and 2012 the Orchestra performed multiple Concerts for Out Of The Square ( OOTS ) Matinee Series to mostly full houses and some standing ovations.

It commenced Classic Concerts in 2012 with conductor Sebastian Phlox. 2012 : Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #3, 2013 : Beethoven Piano Concerto #1 in C,  2014 : Bruch Double Concerto in Em Op88, 2015 :  Dvorak Cello Concerto & Haydn Trumpet Concerto.

ARPA stands for Australian Retired Persons but players are welcome of all ages. A new conductor is required from July 2015.

Rehearsals are Thursdays at 10am, Cumberland Park Community Centre, 390 Goodwood Road, just 200 metres South of BigW.
