Kitchen Witch

“A very unique alt. blues sound, incredibly fun.” – themusic.com.au

“Full of soul and excellent execution” – MusicSA

“Zepplin, Kyuss, The Kills, Deap Vally all huffing the one monster spliff, riffing you a sweet stoner
blues lullaby.” – Spoz’s Rant

If John Lee Hooker, Kyuss and Janis Joplin had a baby, can you imagine how ugly that little
alcoholic infant would be? Fortunately, South Australian quartet Kitchen Witch can hold their
liquor long enough to write some booty shakin’ bluesy stoner grooves.

In 2013, Kitchen Witch formed and hit the live circuit hard. They recorded the double A-side single
“Shock/Beer Swilling Baby”. 2015 saw the release of the “Trouble” EP. The 5 track blues rock release has attracted over 10,000
plays on YouTube and was featured on the attached CD of globally distributed Classic Rock UK
magazine. In 2016, Kitchen Witch recorded the darker “Back To The Mud” EP at Studio Finetime
(Hydromedusa, Woe) and signed with Berlin-based label Kozmik Artifactz for a European vinyl release of selected tracks from their two EPs.
2020 sees their second full length release, Earth and Ether, out now everywhere.

Having shared the stage alongside many excellent bands (including The Sword, Tex Perkins, Bob Log III, La
Bastard, The Royal Artillery, Filthy Lucre, The Floors, The Fumes, Rat Ta’Mango), Kitchen Witch
continue to go from strength to strength with a powerful twist of blues, gospel, roots, country, punk,
70’s rock and stoner doom.
