Aficionados of acoustic music will be familiar with The Singing Gallery in McLaren Vale. The former Congregational Church on the Fleurieu Peninsula was purchased by folk singer  Dave Clark & his friend Jim Fletcher in 1992, and it has spent the years fostering local music and a community of avid gig-goers in this unique, intimate and welcoming performance space.

A mere 40min drive from the city, The Singing Gallery is a regular on the touring circuit of national and international acoustic artists, a favourite amongst the local folk and acoustic scene, and has also hosted spiritual & healing workshops, markets, live theatre, music groups, weddings, and more.

There’s a cafe in the garden, it’s licensed, and there’s even Yani the sweet natured ‘gallery dog’ who will make you feel right at home.

The Singing Gallery has a busy Fringe season planned with music and other genres. In the former, you’ll find the sweet voices of Loren Kate, Christopher Coleman and Kelly Menhennett presenting an ‘in the round’ session, as well as shows with some soul, some 1920s blues, classical guitar and classic artists.

Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a Fringe experience in SA’s popular wine country by the coast.
