These fine chaps want to give you money.

How does $10,000 toward releasing an album or EP sound?

The Hilltop Hoods Initiative offers an up-and-coming Australian hip hop or soul artist a grant to help fund the manufacture, marketing and distribution of a release of five or more songs.

Thanks to Australia’s best loved hip hop act (and proud South Aussies!), and APRA AMCOS, the winner is in for some major assistance.

Along with cold, hard cash, they will also receive legal advice courtesy of David Vodicka and Media Arts Lawyers, which can be used for general legal or specific career advice, and a Love Police ATM merchandise start-up kit (to the value of $500).

Entries will be judged by a panel of key figures in Australian hip hop including Hau, Nish, Ran-Dee, Raph and Tom Thum.

Previous winners include Sarah Connor, Jimblah, Chelsea Jane, I AM D and RUNFORYOURLIFE.

Applications are now open until 22 March.
