Music SA is proud to announce an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team and take that next step in their music industry career.

We are now seeking applicants for a 12 month PAID internship with our company on a permanent part-time basis.

This opportunity has arisen thanks to the generosity of philanthropist Peter Hanlon, a retired banking executive with a passion for punk music, film and music video clips. Peter Hanlon has a desire to help develop the South Australian contemporary music scene and wants to see a state full of life and spirit that retains its young people through job creation.

The Music SA Intern will have a hands on role in our office, assisting with many exciting projects including our live music showcases, our Live Music Metric project, our professional development master classes and forums, Sa Music Awards and more. He/she will be involved in website marketing, including some work with databases and administration across each of our projects.

The role has an interesting twist, too- as well as assisting Music SA staff with our services and initiatives, the intern will undertake a part-time Certificate IV in the Music Industry, attending night classes once a week during semesters. The tuition cost is paid by Music SA, so this is great value for someone with ambitions to gain both experience and knowledge and pursue their dreams in the music industry.

If you have the commitment, enthusiasm and energy to be part of this very busy time at Music SA, download the Music SA Intern Position Description (PDF) and submit your application to industry@musicsa.com.au with the word “Intern” in the subject line. Applications close Monday 28th November 2016 and Internship commences 1st February 2017.
