GRANTS

The SA Music Development Office has a number of grants available for live music. One of them (Stream B) is available to aid the recovery of venues impacted by Covid-19 restrictions. This grant may be of some interest to venues who are also exploring ways to host live music online while closed. Please see the following link for more information. Grant rounds open today and close 17 April.

MDO PROJECT SUPPORT GRANTS

SURVEY

The national Live Music Office is conducting a survey for venues with live music impacted by current trading restrictions. They, and the state and territory music industry organisations that make up the Australian Music Industry Network (AMIN) will use this data to inform the tiers of government of the impact of the virus on live music venues and to lobby for immediate support and future recovery initiatives for live music venues.

All data attributable to any individual venue will remain private and confidential.

While we understand that hotels have a lot of critical and pressing issues at the moment, anything which may result in additional support is helpful. We would therefore appreciate your response to this survey if possible. It would likely take 5-10 minutes to complete.

LIVE MUSIC AND PERFORMANCE VENUE IMPACTS FROM COVID-19 SURVEY

UMBRELLA FESTIVAL

Music SA has announced new Umbrella Festival dates. The live music venue based festival will now be held 19th September to 4th October across South Australia and there are FREE REGISTRATIONS to the open access program for all venues.  When people who have been forcible separated are allowed to reunite, we believe they will be yearning for live music and will have an added appreciation of the sense of community that live music venues provide.  Contact Music SA for further information.
